Much
Use: with uncountable nouns

Many
Use: with countable plural nouns
How many apples do you want? · How many eggs are there? · There are many shops in town.
Some / Any
Use: for an indefinite quantity
I want some bread. (affirmative) · Do you have any rice? (question) · I don't have any money. (negative)
Simple rules for A1/A2
Use much with things you cannot count one by one. Use many with things you can count.
Use some in positive sentences. Use any in questions and negatives.
Useful words for food, drinks, and shopping. English meaning and French meaning are shown together.
