A Fresh Start
After five years in banking, Amara decided to give up her stable job to start her own business. At first, many people told her not to go ahead with such a risky decision, but she didn't back down. She had to figure out how to manage her finances carefully and look into different suppliers before making a choice. During the first few months, she almost ran out of money, but she didn't give up. She reached out to old colleagues, and some of them agreed to help her get through the difficult period. She also had to fill in countless forms for permits and licenses. Slowly, her business started to grow, and she found out that persistence mattered more than experience. Looking back, Amara says that taking that risk was the best decision she has ever made.
