La Hiérarchie des Règles (Rules)
En anglais, toutes les obligations n’ont pas le même « poids ». Voici comment les classer du plus strict au plus souple :

| Mandatory | ⚠️ Obligation légale | Wearing a helmet is mandatory on a construction site. |
| Authorized | ✅ Permission | Only authorized vehicles can park here. |
| Optional | 🟢 Liberté de choix | The English workshop is optional, but very useful. |
NB: Ne confonds pas « Mandatory » (imposé par une autorité) et « Must » (souvent une conviction personnelle).
Parler de ses Responsabilités (Responsibilities)
C’est ici que beaucoup d’apprenants font des erreurs. Voici comment différencier ton rôle de tes actions.
1. Le Rôle (La position)
Utilise « To be in charge of » ou « To be responsible for » + Verbe en -ING.
Exemple : « I am responsible for managing the team. » (C’est ma mission officielle).
2. L’Action (Le quotidien)
Utilise « To handle » ou « To deal with ».
Exemple : « I handle the technical problems every morning. » (C’est ce que je fais concrètement avec mes mains ou mon cerveau).
Parler comme un « Pro » (Expressions)
Pour ne plus traduire mot à mot du français, utilise ces expressions idiomatiques :
To play by the rules = Suivre les règles du jeu / Être honnête.
« In this company, we all play by the rules to maintain trust. »
To be off the hook = Être libéré d’une corvée ou d’une responsabilité.
« The meeting was cancelled, so I’m off the hook for the presentation! »
The bottom line is… = L’essentiel, c’est que… / En résumé…
« The bottom line is that we need to finish this project by Friday. »
