Ces verbes introduisent le discours rapporté. Chacun a un sens précis. Ne les confonds pas !

Ordre / Conseil / Demande → to + verbe base
"Study hard !" → The teacher told us to study hard.
"Don't be late." → She warned him not to be late.
"Can you help me ?" → He asked me to help him.
deny / suggest / recommend → verbe + -ing
"I didn't cheat." → He denied cheating.
"Let's take a taxi." → She suggested taking a taxi.
promise / agree / refuse → to + verbe base
"I will help you." → He promised to help me.
"I won't go." → She refused to go.

💡 Astuce Coach Assoa : En examen oral ou écrit, utiliser ces verbes et expressions montre que tu as un vocabulaire riche. Au lieu de toujours dire said, varie ! Dis explained, announced, admitted, warned… Ça fait la différence entre un élève ordinaire et un excellent candidat !
