A Typical Day for Adjoua

Adjoua is a 16-year-old student. She lives with her family in Cocody, a popular neighbourhood in Abidjan. Her days are busy but well organised. She always follows the same routine from Monday to Friday.

Adjoua wakes up at 5:30 every morning. First, she brushes her teeth and takes a shower. Then she gets dressed in her school uniform. After that, her mother prepares breakfast for the family. They usually eat together before school. Adjoua's favourite breakfast is bread with butter and a cup of hot chocolate.

She leaves home at 6:45 and walks to the bus stop near her house. The bus takes about 25 minutes to reach her school. She arrives at school at around 7:15, a few minutes before classes start at 7:30.

At school, Adjoua works hard. Her favourite subjects are English and Mathematics. She always listens carefully in class and writes notes in her notebook. During the lunch break, she eats with her friends in the school canteen. They sometimes talk about their lessons or make plans for the weekend.

Classes finish at 3:00 p.m. After school, Adjoua goes back home by bus. When she arrives, she first rests for 30 minutes, then she does her homework. She usually finishes her homework by 6:30 p.m. In the evening, she watches a short English video online to practise her listening skills. She goes to bed at 9:30 p.m. because she wants to wake up fresh the next morning.

Adjoua thinks that a good routine is very important for success at school. She says: "If you organise your time well, you can do everything you need to do."

💡 Conseil du Coach Assoa : Utilisez des verbes d'action simples : wake up, get dressed, have breakfast, go to school, do homework, go to bed. Organisez vos idées avec des connecteurs de temps : first, then, after that, finally. Parlez de vous — soyez honnête et naturel !
📌 Modèle de réponse :

My name is Konan and I am a student in Abidjan. I wake up at 6:00 every morning. First, I wash my face and get dressed. Then I have breakfast with my family — we usually eat rice or bread. I leave home at 6:50 and take a bus to school. After school, I do my homework and watch a short video in English. Finally, I go to bed at 10:00 p.m. I think a good routine helps me stay focused at school.
