Amina Helps Her Neighbours

Amina is twelve years old. She lives in a small village with her mother and two brothers. Every Saturday morning, Amina walks around her neighbourhood to help elderly people.

Last Saturday, she visited Mrs. Coulibaly, an old woman who lives alone. Amina carried her shopping bags and cleaned her small garden. Mrs. Coulibaly was very happy and gave Amina a cup of tea.

After that, Amina went to Mr. Traore's house. He is 80 years old and cannot walk very well. Amina read him the newspaper and helped him write a letter to his daughter, who lives in another city.

In the afternoon, Amina played with the younger children in the street. She taught them a new game and helped them with their homework.

When Amina's mother asked her why she helps so many people, Amina smiled and said, "Because one day, I might need help too. And helping others makes me happy."

Amina's neighbours say she is the kindest girl in the village. Everyone loves her, and many children want to be like her when they grow up.
