⚠️ Pas de préposition
Avec next, last, this, every, yesterday, today, tomorrow : "I'll see you next Monday" — pas de on.
⚠️ In the night vs at night
At night = généralement la nuit. In the night = pendant une nuit spécifique (le bruit m'a réveillé in the night).
⚠️ BY vs UNTIL
By = avant ou à ce moment précis (deadline). Until = action continue jusqu'à ce moment. "I'll wait until 5 pm" vs "I'll send it by 5 pm."

In Paris (vous y êtes) vs at Paris (étape de voyage : "We stopped at Paris before Lyon").
⚠️ ON vs IN (transport)
On pour les grands moyens (bus, train, plane). In pour voiture, taxi, lift : "in a car / in a taxi".
⚠️ ABOVE vs OVER
Above = position statique plus haute. Over = mouvement ou couverture : "clouds over the city" / "a bridge over the river".
