Semaine 2 – Jour 3 : Reading + Writing + Listening
INTRODUCTION
Aujourd’hui, tu vas :
The Present Continuous
Une leçon complète : lecture, écoute et expression écrite pour maîtriser les actions en cours — "is / am / are + verbe-ing".
Reading Comprehension
Lisez le texte, puis répondez aux questions.
It's Saturday afternoon in Central Park. The sun is shining, and a lot of people are enjoying the warm weather. Near the lake, two children are feeding the ducks with pieces of bread. Their mother is sitting on a bench and is reading a book, but she is not paying much attention to it — she keeps looking up at her kids.
A little further away, a group of teenagers are playing frisbee on the grass. One of them, Marco, is running fast to catch the disc, but he isn't watching where he's going, and he almost is falling over a dog! The dog's owner is laughing and is taking a photo with her phone.
Meanwhile, an old man is standing near a food cart. He is buying an ice cream, and the vendor is smiling as she hands it to him. Everyone in the park, it seems, is having a wonderful day.
Listening Test
Tom: Hi Anna! I'm cooking dinner. I'm making pasta with tomato sauce.
Anna: Nice! Is your brother helping you?
Tom: No, he isn't helping me. He's watching TV in the living room. He's watching a football match.
Anna: And what about your parents? Are they working today?
Tom: My dad is working, but my mom isn't working today. She's studying for an exam in her room.
Anna: Wow, everyone is busy! Can I come over later?
Tom: Of course! We're eating at eight o'clock.
