A Busy Morning

It's eight o'clock on a weekday morning, and the Diallo family's house is full of activity. In the kitchen, Mrs. Diallo is preparing breakfast while she listens to the radio. She always wakes up early, but today she is running a little late because the electricity went off for an hour last night.

Upstairs, her son Ibrahim is getting dressed for school. He is not wearing his usual blue uniform today because it is still wet from yesterday's rain, so he is wearing the spare one instead. His younger sister, Aminata, is brushing her hair in front of the mirror and singing a song she learned in class.

Mr. Diallo, the father, usually leaves for work at seven thirty, but this morning he is still at home. He is fixing a small problem with the car before driving to the office. He is talking on the phone with a colleague, explaining that he will arrive a bit later than usual.

Meanwhile, the family dog is waiting patiently by the front door, wagging its tail. He knows that someone will take him for a short walk before everyone leaves.

Despite the small delays, nobody in the house is panicking. They are working together, helping each other, and staying calm. In a few minutes, everyone will be ready, and the day will begin, just like every other busy morning in the Diallo household.
